IDCDC

About this network: what we are and are not

IDCDC is an independent, non-partisan, peer-to-peer education and development network of Iranian diaspora communities. Members and contributors of every background teach, learn and build together under one charter. It is not a university, a school or a degree-granting body. It does not act for any government, party, corporation or religious authority.

CharterProtected participation

01What IDCDC is

The Iranian Diaspora Cooperation & Development Council (IDCDC) is a federation of Chapters and communities of practice (the charter’s Colleges) under one charter.

It serves Iranian diaspora communities worldwide: every language, ethnicity, faith and generation, by self-identification.

Members share what they know, review each other’s work and build programmes together, country by country.

02What IDCDC is not

IDCDC is not a university, a school or a degree-granting body.

It does not act for or on behalf of any government, state body, political party, corporation or religious authority.

It claims no recognition, partnership or endorsement that the charter’s organs have not recorded.

03How it works

The Academy is the network’s peer-to-peer learning space. Its faculties, departments and disciplines arrange courses by subject.

Every figure carries its measure, year, source and label. Contested subjects show every side with sources.

Things that are not running yet say forming or in preparation.

04Disclaimers

Each statement says what it rests on.

Status

IDCDC is not a university and grants no degrees. A completion record is not a certificate or a qualification.

The Academy is IDCDC’s peer-to-peer learning space. It is not a university, a school or a degree-granting body, and no education authority accredits it.

Faculty, department and discipline name how courses are arranged by subject. They are not institutions or bodies of teaching staff.

People who teach or review are instructors, course authors, expert reviewers, stewards and contributors. No academic title is given.

A completion record shows what was studied and assessed. It is not a certificate or a qualification, and no employer or authority is said to recognise it.

Independence

IDCDC acts for no government, corporation, party or faith body.

IDCDC is independent. It does not act for or on behalf of any government, state body, corporation, political party, faction, armed actor or religious authority.

Public bodies, standards bodies and institutions are named only to identify their published work. Naming them implies no relationship.

No partnership, recognition or endorsement exists unless the charter’s organs record it. Pending things say forming or in preparation.

Peer-to-peer learning

Courses are written and reviewed by peers. Outlines are drafts until expert review.

Courses are peer-to-peer. Contributors of every background write, review, translate and teach them.

An outline is a draft until an expert reviewer has checked it. Teaching starts only after review.

Contributors are named only with their consent. The organisation is the author of record.

Translations drafted with AI are labelled until a native reviewer checks them.

Evidence

Every figure carries its measure, year, source and label. Unknown is shown as unknown.

Every figure carries its measure, year, source and label: verified, secondary or to verify.

Figures of different measures are never added up. Where no source counts something, the page says so.

Primary sources come first: the census table or the report, not an article about it.

Contested subjects

Contested subjects show every side with sources. Nothing here endorses a position.

Contested subjects name every side with its sources. Claims are attributed to the people who make them.

Fact is kept apart from interpretation. Communities are named by their own names, with alternatives recorded.

No party, candidate, faction or armed actor is endorsed.

Not professional advice

Nothing here is legal, immigration, medical, mental health, financial or tax advice.

Courses and pages give general information for learning.

They are not legal, immigration, medical, mental health, financial or tax advice.

External sources and links

Outside sources keep their own licences. A listing or a link is not an endorsement.

They come only from sources approved in the source register, each named with its licence.

A listed record is not reviewed, adopted or endorsed. Read the original before relying on it.

Translations

Translations are drafts until a native reviewer checks them. English is the source text.

Pages in other languages are translations of the English source.

Translations drafted with AI are published as labelled drafts. Native reviewers check them.

Where a translation and the English page differ, the English page is the source.
