TEHRAN, June 24 (Xinhua) — Iran’s Super League resumed behind closed doors on Wednesday night after a four-month suspension due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hosts Foolad beat Esteghlal 2-1 in the opening match at the Foolad Arena in Ahvaz, jumping to fifth place in the standings with 36 points out of 21 games.
