The IT Senior Infrastructure Architect will be the highest level of escalation for incidents and will be required to take ownership over problems and issues. The successful candidate will also be put in charge of high level projects which may require some management of other engineers to complete the required tasks.
  • English native speaker a must. Italian and any other European language is an advantage;
  • Must have 5+ years’ experience in a 3rd line technical role with detailed hands on experience of trouble shooting;
  • At least 2 years’ experience in an Infrastructure Architect position;
  • Formal qualifications and relevant experience in CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate), ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) and PRINCE2;
  • Knowledge of MS Server 2012 / 16, MS Exchange 2013 / 16, and Active Directory;
  • Knowledge of VMware Virtualization (ESX, Vsan, Horizon) Citrix server solutions and Client-server networking;•Knowledge of MS IIS, DNS, GPO, DFS and Use of MS VISIO;
  • Technical Network Design ability and previous experience with ‘Ship Building’ are essential requirements (STX);
  • High level of project leadership skills and availability to travel 40% of the time;
  • Experience in planning and developing support processes and adhering to best practices;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Works within a team of five (5) Infrastructure Support Engineers;
  • Performs across varied technology domains such as Business Applications, Data, Infrastructure, Integration and Security;
  • Provides technical system solutions, determine overall design direction and provides hardware recommendations for complex technical issues;
  • Prioritises incident management (including resources guidance);
  • Looks at the existing infrastructure and recommends any changes for positive overall improvement;
  • Provides hands on BAU (Business as Usual) support to the assigned environment;
  • Analyses existing systems to ensure they offer adequate security and are effectively meeting the needs of the organisation;
  • Recommends alternative technologies or improvements to enhance information systems and support organisational goals;
  • Develops and documents the proposed technical design for the integration and implementation of any new software, working across the IT Department;
  • Provides feedback to leadership teams and incorporates this information into future integration plans;
  • Has experience in designing, integrating and managing complex infrastructure solutions;
  • Has experience in providing hardware/software support and knowledge of data centre security concepts, methodologies and tools.
