This update contradicts initial statements from Duarte’s talent agency, which attributed his death to a “horrible accident” during a Texas trip shortly after his wedding anniversary. The Medina County Sheriff’s Office reported responding to a call about a “male subject with a knife acting erratically,” who was later identified as Duarte.
Upon arrival, Duarte allegedly threatened officers, prompting them to issue multiple verbal commands for him to surrender.
