01Ways to take part

  • Individual Members

Anyone who accepts the charter: the diaspora across generations, newcomers, students and people in transit.

Take part in Chapters and communities of practice, propose work, and stand for service roles after screening.

  • Fellows

Members credentialed for competence in their field and for integrity.

Lead peer review, author standards and mentor, while the credential is current.

  • Institutional Members

Lawful organisations that align with the charter: associations, schools, professional bodies.

Take part through named representatives, under conflict disclosure.

  • Affiliates

People or organisations working with the Council on a limited scope.

    No governance rights.

  • Observers

Participants for a set time and purpose.

No governance rights unless the charter grants them.

The Credentials & Participation Office (CPO) administers admission.

02What everyone commits to

  1. 1

I am independent and non-partisan in everything I do here.

  2. 2

I disclose conflicts of interest and step aside when they apply.

  3. 3

I protect other people’s safety and never expose them.

  4. 4

I do not use the Council for money, markets or investment.

  5. 5

I never claim to speak for the Council without authority.

  6. 6

I act with dignity and do no harm.

03Rights and duties

Rights

  • Take part in the work of Chapters and communities of practice.
  • Read public material, and controlled material your role allows.
  • Propose work items and improvements to standards.
  • Be considered for service roles, after screening.
  • Say you are a member, without implying endorsement.

Duties

  • Keep your disclosures truthful.
  • Follow recusals and role limits.
  • Never dox or expose another person.
  • Respect records and publication rules.
  • Never pressure or manipulate others for a faction.
  • Never use the Council for personal, partisan or commercial ends.

04Credentials

  • Fellowship

  • Reviewer Certification

  • Handling Clearance

  • Readiness Assessor Qualification

Each credential states what it means, its scope, how long it lasts, how it is renewed and when it is withdrawn.

05Fees

The Governing Board may set membership fees. Waivers and reductions keep membership open to everyone. No fee is published yet.

06What you never have to share

  • Your identity, beyond what accountability requires
  • Where you live
  • Your employer
  • Your immigration status
  • Your family’s details

The charter forbids making these a condition of taking part, unless the law requires it and it is safety-cleared.
