Federal Raid at San Antonio Nightclub Nets Over 150 Arrests

A federal raid on an underground nightclub in San Antonio, Texas, resulted in the arrest of over 150 individuals, including 27 suspected members of the Tren de Aragua gang. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is currently investigating two suspects for alleged involvement in human smuggling and money laundering operations connected to the nightclub. Alongside the arrests, law enforcement officials seized weapons, narcotics, and $35,000 in cash during the operation.

DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin stated that the operation was a success in removing “150 illegal aliens including 27 suspected Tren de Argua gang members” from the streets, emphasizing the agency’s commitment to dismantling criminal gangs and curbing the flow of dangerous drugs into American communities. The Tren de Aragua gang, originating from Venezuela, has been increasingly active in various criminal activities across the Americas, prompting heightened law enforcement efforts to combat their expansion and influence in the United States.
