Pirro Announces Charges in Assault of Former DOGE Staffer

Jeanine Pirro has announced that Laurence Cotton-Powell, 19, and Anthony Taylor, 18, face charges for allegedly assaulting Edward Coristine, a former staffer for DOGE known as “Big Balls.” According to Pirro, Coristine was attacked by multiple suspects after he attempted to protect a young woman by ushering her into a car as approximately ten individuals approached. The assault resulted in significant injuries to Coristine, who was reportedly punched repeatedly.

Cotton-Powell is already known to law enforcement and has a history of violent offenses. The Metropolitan Police Department stated that in October of last year, he was arrested and charged with robbery after allegedly assaulting a victim and stealing their property. The charges against Cotton-Powell and Taylor highlight ongoing concerns about youth violence and repeat offending within communities.
